Christ the Redeemer statue is situated at the Peak of Corcovado Mountain, Rio de Janeiro, Southeast Brazil, Brazil. Height of the statue 38 meter. By overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro is one of the tallest statues in the world. Construction timeline is 1922-1931A.D. Statue of Christ the Redeemer designed by Heitor da Silva Costa, Paul Landowski. This is statue of jesus Christ, to show that Jesus is there for everyone. Christ the Redeemer made out of Soapstone with reinforced concrete. Soapstone is also known as steatite or soaprock. It is a metamorphic rock which is main rock among igneous and sedimentary rock which is formatted by high heat and pressure. |
